One of the other two defendants received a twelve-month suspended prison sentence and a 2,000 euro fine.

His sidekick had already been sentenced for detention of primates in 2014. This time, he was sentenced to two years in prison, one of which is firm.

Compensation for civil parties

The penalty may be carried out under an electronic bracelet.

The man will have to pay a fine of 2,000 euros and will not be able to exercise his activity as a breeder for five years.

The two Ardennes will have to reimburse the costs of capturing the animals and pay 11,000 euros to the eleven associations for the protection of animals as civil parties.
