The Mount of Mercy has become a beacon for pilgrims to find out where they stand and the locations of their tents, due to the large number of crowds in it, so they explain their locations to each other in relation to the location of their presence around the mountain.

This mountain witnessed part of the revelation of the Noble Qur’an to the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, as some narrations say that it was on it that the words of God Almighty came down on it: (Today I have perfected your religion for you, and I have completed My blessing upon you, and I have approved for you Islam as a religion) (Surat Al-Ma’idah, verse 3).

Landmarks

The mountain is marked at the top, but it does not carry any religious significance. Rather, it was placed to distinguish the mountain from other nearby mountains.
