indiscriminate shooting took place on the day of Independence Day in the United States.

Six people were killed and 31 injured on the street where the march was taking place, and the suspect was arrested after fled the scene.

Highland Park, outside Chicago, USA, the wind band which was marching to celebrate Independence Day stops playing and starts running quickly. 



Someone continues to open fire on people who are running away from confusion. 



The suspect fired indiscriminately with a high-powered rifle from the roof of the building. 



[Shooting Witness: I saw people around me getting shot and killed.

Many people hid.]



Rollaway chairs and strollers thrown on the street show the tense situation at the time.



Six people were killed in the shooting, while 31 were hospitalized and 25 were shot.



[Brigham Temple / North Shore University Hospital Physician: The age of inpatients is the youngest at 8 years old, and there are patients up to 85 years old.]

The suspect, who fled in the car, was arrested by the police.



The suspect is a 22-year-old white male from the area, and police are investigating the motive.

Shortly after the shooting that marked the Independence Day celebrations in blood, President Biden stressed that he would not give up the fight against gun violence.

The incident comes nine days after the opposition parties passed a bipartisan gun control bill and President Biden signed it after a series of recent shootings.
