On 11 May this year, one of the Armed Forces' fighter jets flew at low altitude over a farm on Visingsö - several animals were rescued then and ran through a fence.

As a result, two cows lost their calves.

The animal owner now receives SEK 15,500 in compensation from the Armed Forces.

The cost will cover both the lost calves and the time it took for the pet owner to collect the animals and repair the fence.

The calves would actually have been sold together with their mother for SEK 21,500 each, but in the decision the Armed Forces writes that the owner is only compensated with a corresponding slaughter value of SEK 15,000 per cow.
