The murder of Malin Lindström, 16, is unsolved. She disappeared in 1996 after a bus trip in Örnsköldsvik and was found brutally murdered in a forest area six months later. On June 30, a new trial will begin in the Court of Appeal.
The case took a turn since the man who was first convicted and later acquitted of the murder of Malin could now be linked to the body via DNA.
In March 2022, the public prosecutor applied for redress in the Supreme Court.
