On the 2nd, a workboat carrying about 30 people sank off the coast of southern China due to the effects of a typhoon. As we continue to verify our identities, we continue to search for those who are missing.

According to the Guangdong Maritime Bureau in southern China, a workboat under construction for an offshore wind farm sank off the coast of Yangjiang, Guangdong Province on the 2nd.

Of the approximately 30 crew members on the ship, four have been rescued so far, but according to the Guangdong Maritime Bureau, 12 people were found dead in the surrounding waters on the afternoon of the 4th, officials said. We are confirming our identity as a member.

At the time the ship sank, Typhoon No. 3 was approaching the sea area at the site, Chinese media reported that the height of the waves had reached around 10 meters, and the authorities found out by helicopter and rescue ship. We continue to search for those who have not.

The Maritime Bureau has decided to investigate the cause in more detail, considering that it became difficult to control the ship because the chain connecting the ship to the bottom of the sea was broken.
