Europe 1 takes stock of the starters and the outgoing of the new government.

The Borne II government is beginning to be known.

After a few days of procrastination following the departure of several ministers after their defeats in the legislative elections (Amélie de Montchalin, Brigitte Bourguignon and Justine Benin), Emmanuel Macron and Élisabeth Borne have decided and will announce the cabinet reshuffle this Monday morning.

Information to remember:

  • Damien Abad leaves the government

  • Olivier Véran will be appointed government spokesperson

  • Marlène Schiappa back in government

  • Doctor François Braun appointed Minister of Health

Damien Abad leaves the government

The Minister of Solidarity Damien Abad will not have resisted the storm.

Targeted by a complaint for "attempted rape", Elisabeth Borne and Emmanuel Macron have taken the decision to dismiss Damien Abad from their new government.

To replace him, the government has chosen Geneviève Darrieusecq, who becomes Minister Delegate to the Minister of Health and Solidarity.

Véran appointed spokesperson to replace Olivia Grégoire

Another change for Olivier Véran.

Appointed Minister for Relations with Parliament in May, after having been Minister of Health for two years, Olivier Véran becomes the new government spokesperson to replace Olivia Grégoire.

The latter joined Bercy and became deputy minister responsible in particular for SMEs, trade and crafts.

To replace Olivier Véran, the executive chose Franck Riester, who until then was Minister Delegate to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, in charge of Foreign Trade and Attractiveness.

François Braun recovers Health

Charged by the government with drafting a "flash mission" to stem the crisis in hospitals, the emergency doctor François Braun will see his prerogatives extended since he was chosen to replace Brigitte Bourguignon, beaten in the last legislative elections, at the head of the Ministry of Health.

Marlène Schiappa back in government

It's a surprise comeback.

Two months after leaving politics, Marlène Schiappa, the former Minister Delegate for Citizenship, returns to the government and will be in charge of the Social and Solidarity Economy and community life.
