A meeting was held in Switzerland where representatives of countries such as Japan, Europe and the United States and international organizations talked about the reconstruction of Ukraine, which has been severely damaged by the military invasion by Russia, and the Ukrainian government responded to the urgency of restoration and reconstruction. He presented a plan to proceed in three stages and asked for cooperation.

The international conference on the reconstruction of Ukraine will be held in Lugano in southern Switzerland on the afternoon of the 4th and the night of the 4th of Japan time. Representatives of international organizations such as banks also attended.



President Zelensky attended the meeting online, stating that "rebuilding Ukraine is a common challenge for all democracies, not just one," and urged countries to cooperate.



In response, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has complained that at present, a total of about 750 billion dollars, or 101 trillion yen in Japanese yen, is needed to proceed with restoration and reconstruction.



Reconstruction is carried out in three stages according to the degree of urgency. First, after promoting the restoration of infrastructure such as water services and bridges that are indispensable for people's lives, we will work on rebuilding schools, etc., and then the environment. He presented the contents of the plan to tackle long-term issues such as the recovery of the economy that was emphasized.



The conference will be closed on the 5th with representatives from each country announcing their support policies, and the Ukrainian government wants to use this conference as a starting point for reconstruction.
