“To outline an alternative branch of the route, to passport it and open it for visiting within two weeks,” the press service of the regional government said in a statement.
The old route was recognized as dangerous, as new collapses were found in the crater.
In 2021, a mudflow descended onto hiking trails from the Mutnovsky volcano in the Kamchatka Territory.
Scientists have warned that after the mudflow, rock collapse may occur.
