Launching the Hajj permit electronically on the "Al-Hosn" application

The National Health System "Al-Hosn" of the Ministry of Health and Prevention, in cooperation with the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments, announced the provision of the "Hajj permit" electronically on the "Al-Hosn" application as one of the advanced technical solutions that aim to dispense with the paper version of the various permits and replace them with digital services to facilitate procedures. The pilgrims are required to save time and effort and enhance their confidence in the efficiency and development of health procedures.

The National Health System "Al-Hosn" affirmed keenness on joint work between the Ministry of Health and Community Protection and the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments to harness all technological capabilities and modern technologies in order to serve the pilgrims and provide all the necessary facilities to ensure their safety, health and security during the performance of the Hajj rituals and the protection of their health.

These advantages come together within the framework of the Ministry and its partners completing the strategic plan to preserve public health and in support of efforts made for a full recovery to ensure a safe and healthy environment.

The system also made it clear that the appearance of the electronic Hajj permit on the "Al-Hosn" application is a mandatory procedure for any individual leaving the country for the Holy Land, whether he is a recipient of basic vaccination doses against "Covid-19" in addition to its support doses.

She pointed out that there are a number of procedures and mechanisms that everyone who wishes to go to perform the Hajj must fulfill to ensure obtaining the "green passage" that allows them to travel safely.

The system identified 4 general steps that all those wishing to perform the pilgrimage must take in order for the Hajj permit to appear automatically on the Al-Hosn application, including conducting a negative “PCR” test no more than “72 hours” before the date of travel and attaching certificates of obtaining the “compulsory” meningitis vaccine. And the “seasonal influenza and pneumococcal” vaccines are “optional” from health centers approved by the Ministry of Health and Community Protection and health authorities, in addition to attaching a report on the medical condition of the person wishing to travel “appropriate” from the approved health authorities, and finally attaching a travel permit for Hajj.

The "Al-Hosn" system stated that pilgrims who received the basic vaccination doses against "Covid-19", in addition to its supporting doses, according to the protocol approved for vaccinations by the Ministry of Health and Community Protection and health authorities, will receive an electronic Hajj permit on the Al-Hosn application once the four steps are completed.

The National Health System "Al-Hosn" noted that the "electronic Hajj permit" will appear in gray if the "PCR" examination expires 72 hours before travel, or if the required vaccinations are not taken, the medical report is not obtained, or the travel approval for Hajj is not obtained from the authorities.
