Businessman Juan Urquijo de la Sierra, Marquis of Urquijo, died today at the

age of 63

in a Madrid clinic due to a

long illness,

sources close to the family confirmed to EFE.

Juan Urquijo had lived in Panama for years, where he was executive president of the board of directors of the risk rating agency PCR (Pacific Credit Rating).

Graduated in Law from the Complutense University of Madrid, MIM from the American Graduate School of International Management and Diploma in Business Sciences from ESADE, he has performed various tasks in the world of banking, from his beginnings at

Banco Urquijo Hispano Americano, at Banco Urquijo and in Urquijo Leasing.

In the business world, he was director of leading companies both in Europe and America such as ADA, Ediciones Agenda, Grupo Mundial Tenedora, Banvivienda and Aseguradora Mundial, among others.

As detailed on the PCR website, he participated as a partner and collaborator in the management of the

London-Mi companies.

Juan Urquijo de la Sierra was

the youngest son of the Marquises of Urquijo,
