“The agency found that Google LLC, which owns and operates the Google Play app store, has required developers distributing paid apps through the platform to use the Google payment system exclusively,” the agency’s website says.

It is noted that the ban on the use of other payment systems is enshrined in the rules of the Google Play Developer Program.

“If they are violated, the application may be removed from the site or the possibility of updating it may be blocked,” the FAS said.

The agency noted that the actions of Google LLC "contain signs of abuse of dominant position" - clause 3 of part 1 of article 10 of the Law on Protection of Competition.

“FAS Russia issued a warning to the company.

The company must fulfill it within a month, ”the message says.

In early May, Google LLC challenged the decision of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia about the opacity of YouTube blocking rules.

Earlier, the FAS recognized Google as violating antitrust laws.

The service found that the rules related to the formation, suspension, blocking of accounts and the circulation of user content "on YouTube are opaque, biased and unpredictable."
