With the summer, a new trend is emerging: that of multifunctional products.

A generation of counter-current products of recent years, where each product had its specificity and its own area.

A new trend is emerging this summer: that of so-called multifunction treatments and cosmetics, which meet several needs and can thus be applied to the face, body and hair at the same time.

A new generation of products against the trend of recent years, where each product had its specificity and its own area.

"We are moving towards a simplification of beauty routines", explains to the microphone of Europe 1 Isabelle Salas, marketing director of the new brand ETC.

Beauty.

"With the layering trend, we recommended applying 15 products in the morning and 15 in the evening, we were lost," she recalls.

According to her, this technique posed several “ecological, but also efficiency” problems since the application of different products in several layers “can cause irritation”.

All-in-one products

First of all, on the face side, Philippine Darblay advises the "Boum-Boum Milk" by Violette_FR, a makeup artist followed by 454,000 people on Instagram.

"It's a three-in-one product that is a tonic lotion, serum and moisturizer," says the columnist, who describes a light, spray texture.

"I became totally addicted," says Philippine Darblay.

The "Total Cleans'r", from singer Rihanna's Fenty Skin brand, is two-in-one since it removes make-up and cleanses at the same time.

A performance, according to the columnist, since "these are generally very different products, with very different compositions and responses".

ETC brand.

Beauty has launched a "On edge" balm, halfway between care and makeup "which hydrates, unifies, illuminates and smoothes the complexion", lists the columnist.

A practical trend

But how can you be sure of the effectiveness of these all-in-one products?

The answer lies in what these treatments contain.

Take the example of ETC balm.

Beauty: it contains in particular biotin, a "beautiful skin vitamin which has multiple benefits".

Adrien Coelho, founder of the Coelho Beauty brand, which only offers multifunction products, confirms this trend.

The solution is to choose versatile ingredients that can be used in several ways, but also cohesive ingredients, which can be used together.

This is the case of its brand, which offers a cream that can be used to wash, but also to nourish the hair.

Coelho Beauty also offers a compatible oil for hair, body and face.

The watchword of this new trend: practicality!

These products are suitable for young and old alike, and are all the more useful during the holiday period, because who says less products, says more space in the holiday suitcase!
