China News Service, July 4th. According to a comprehensive report from New Zealand's Tianwei.com, today (July 4th), the new Accredited Employer Work Visa (Accredited Employer Work Visa) previously launched by Immigration New Zealand officially came into effect. Skills work visa) is officially "closed".

  Immigration noted that "old" applications initiated before July 4 are still valid and will be processed as normal.

  The new median wage ($27.76 an hour) will also come into effect from July 4 and will be applied to all applicable visa applications, according to official immigration documents.

  USCIS has released important updates on the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV), including increased wage requirements and changes to the hiring process employers should follow.

  USCIS states that certified employers need to adhere to the following objectives:

  - Incentivizing employers to recruit more New Zealanders to address the shortage of skilled workers;

  - ensuring that employers only recruit non-New Zealand citizens or residents who are in real shortage, without displacing New Zealanders' employment opportunities or hindering improvements in wages or working conditions;

  - Reduce the risk of business models and corresponding initiatives that could lead to the exploitation of migrants;

  - Ensure that employers comply with specific employment, immigration and business standards.

  Specifically, employer certification requires three steps.

They are:

  - Employer accreditation, employers must obtain employer accreditation;

  - Job Check, an approved employer must hold an Immigration New Zealand approved job check to fill any vacancies the employer needs to fill by non-New Zealand citizen or resident workers;

  - A work visa, for non-New Zealand citizens or resident workers, must hold an Accredited Employer work visa.

  According to USCIS, there are two types of employer certification, Standard Accreditatio and High Volume Accreditation, which need to meet different requirements.

  If the employer needs to apply for employer certification, such as using the online form on the official website of the Immigration Service, the employer needs an NZBN (New Zealand Business Number) before applying, unless specific requirements are met.

Applicants also need to meet other corresponding conditions. For details, please refer to the official website of the Immigration Bureau.
