Dubai government officials praise the system of honoring and sponsoring top students

The system includes rewarding discounts for the first resident students to study at international higher education institutions in Dubai, along with obtaining golden residency for students and their families, according to the mechanism followed in this regard in the Emirate of Dubai.

On this occasion, Abdullah Al Basti, Secretary-General of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai, stressed that the Emirate of Dubai, under the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai The Chairman of the Executive Council encourages outstanding students and provides them with all possibilities to continue excellence in school educational performance and beyond the stage of study, as the vision of the Emirate of Dubai revolves around the priority of achieving the best outcomes in education, and that the emirate, through the excellence of its students, occupies a global position as a major educational capital that receives in its schools and universities the most brilliant Students from all over the world.

For his part, Eng. For his part, Abdullah bin Zayed Al Falasi, Director General of the Dubai Government Human Resources Department, stressed that investing in Emirati human capital and supporting Emirati talents and outstanding people is at the forefront of the wise leadership’s attention, as education is one of the four most important axes of the UAE Centennial 2071.

He said that the human resources of the Dubai government will spare no effort to promote Emiratisation plans and objectives by focusing on Emirati competencies and investing in human capital starting from university studies, in a way that ensures the link between specializations and qualitative jobs available in the labor market, and support students to reach the hoped future with the highest levels of excellence and in various fields.

He explained that Dubai will always remain a land of giving and opportunities for all, and a vast space for the best minds, young talents and promising energies. Empowering high school students for the requirements and directions of the future will remain an essential part of the emirate's plans in the medium and long term.

The system includes the application of a smart electronic system for calculating and counting high school results in the Emirate of Dubai, and assigning them to a unified scientific methodology through which it is possible to unify the results of the various curricula, and to identify the top performers at the level of the Emirate of Dubai in accordance with the best international practices in this field.

The new system targets outstanding students in both public and private schools in the ministerial curriculum, in addition to outstanding students in the American curriculum (advanced level), the British curriculum (the twelfth grade track for those who have obtained the approval of the Ministry of Education and the thirteenth grade graduates), and the International Baccalaureate curriculum, The first honoring will be held next September for all the top 50 students from high school graduates, 25 Emirati students and 25 residents, after completing the students’ results from the various targeted educational curricula.

The system unifies high school results across the various educational curricula applied in the emirate, and helps compare the results of graduates and identify the top ones in coordination between the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai and government and private schools in the emirate.
