<Anchor> In
the United States, a police officer fired more than 60 shots at a black man, killing him.
It happened while chasing after breaking a traffic signal, and criticism of racism is growing stronger.

Police officers run and aim their guns at a vehicle.
[Don't move!
Don't move!]
However, the driver gets out of the car and runs away.
I wondered if there was a chase, and the police opened fire at the driver who was nearby.
On the morning of the 27th of last month, a 25-year-old black man, Walker, was shot and killed by police in Akron, Ohio.
An autopsy revealed more than 60 gunshot wounds on the body.
[Stefan Millet / US Chief of Police Akron: We do not know the exact number of how many bullets were fired yet.
However, if you look at the video, it seems that they shot quite a lot, so the number of gun shots is expected to be high.]
The police claimed that Walker violated a traffic signal and committed threatening behavior, such as shooting a gun at the police while running away.
However, the family disputed that there was no evidence that Walker fired a gun, and that he did not even have a gun at the time of the attack, saying it was an overreaction.
[Bobby Disello / Family Counsel: When he was shot an incredible number of 90 or 60 shots, he wasn't carrying a weapon.]
Protests against racism continued as criticism grew that shooting at least 60 guns at a black person was an abuse of public power against blacks.
As the protests against racism sparked by the death of Floyd last year have become a major factor in the presidential election, attention is also being paid to how widespread the protests will be ahead of the midterm elections in November.
