The woman, who is in her 30s, was taken by ambulance to hospital with serious injuries.
A man in his 30s was first arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault but was later released.
- The suspicion remains but the man has been released by the prosecutor, says police spokesman Kim Hild to SVT Nyheter Skåne just before 10 o'clock on Sunday morning.
According to the police, the man and the woman are already known to each other.
- We have left the place but the investigation continues, says Kim Hild.
