A lecturer at the Narcotics Department of Sharjah Police, Rashid Al-Shehhi, confirmed that crystal and heroin are the fastest types of drugs that lead to death, if a person takes a strong dose of either, explaining that this matter depends on the nature of each body, and the extent of its endurance, noting that There is no specific lethal dose rate, but the effect varies according to the body, and whether the person is an addict or is using it for the first time.

He explained that the crystal drug, or what is known as "ice and shabu", is the most dangerous type of drug and the most negative effect;

He explained that it takes the person away from reality, increases the heart rate, raises the body temperature, causes hallucinations for a long time, and increases the person's suspicion of those around him.

Al-Shehhi told "Emirates Today", on the sidelines of the "Student Media Day" exhibition at Al Qasimia University, that this drug exposes the person who takes it to violent problems, which may reach the person using crimes such as murder in the end.

He added that there are a number of drugs that are criminally sold in pharmacies, which contain narcotic substances;

Most notably, "tramadol", stressing that the participation of Sharjah Police in this exhibition at Al Qasimia University aims to educate young people about the dangers of drugs and their impact on a person's life and mental health, and its link as well as the rate of crime.

During the exhibition, Sharjah Police presented a presentation of the various types of drugs prohibited within the country, both drugs (tablets - injections), as well as those that are used or smoked.

The annual report of the Sharjah Police, issued from last year until May of this year, revealed that 201 drug trafficking and promotion cases were seized, with a market value of 135 million dirhams.
