This opinion was expressed by the governor of the Kaliningrad region Anton Alikhanov in an interview with Vedomosti.

“The transport complex of the Baltics, in principle, can be destroyed if Russia applies anti-sanctions against goods that go in the direction of the Baltics and from it,” he said.

Alikhanov called the developed list of measures "a powerful weapon."

Among the developed measures, the governor considers economic measures to be preferable.

“In my opinion, Russia's economic response to the Baltics is a much more effective measure and extremely destructive, comparable to neutron weapons.

Russia can make half of the Lithuanian economy disappear.

It just feels like Lithuania does not understand that the Kaliningrad region is part of Russia and that there is someone to stand up for us, we are not alone with the problem, ”he said.

Earlier it was reported that the authorities of the Kaliningrad region prepared a list of response measures to Lithuania's ban on land transit of certain goods to the region.

The list was submitted for consideration to the Russian government.
