Starting today.. Road works on Emirates Road during weekends
The Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai has announced the start of road works on Emirates Road between the Dubai-Al Ain intersection and Al Qudra intersection in both directions, during weekends, starting from today, Saturday, July 2, 2022, until August 27.
The authority called on drivers to take precaution and follow the directional signs to ensure their safety and the safety of road users while passing through Emirates Road on the mentioned days.
Emirates Road is one of the most important strategic axes within the structural plan of the road network in the country, and it is an essential component of the federal road system, linking the emirates of the country together, facilitating the traffic flow and facilitating the movement of transport between them.
Emirates Road starts from the entrance of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi with the Emirate of Dubai in the south, at the intersection with Al Faya Truck Road, passing through the emirates of Sharjah and Ajman, and up to the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain, as it links with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Street and Al Ittihad Street, serving the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.
Emirates Road is characterized by the presence of many bridged intersections along its length, which were designed and implemented according to the highest engineering specifications and international standards, with the aim of providing free traffic in all directions.
