Novus' June survey of confidence in the country's party leaders shows that moderate leader Ulf Kristersson now has fairly or very good confidence among 33 percent of voters.

It is a drop of as much as six percentage points since May for the moderate leader, while Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson (S) remains at a high level, now 56 percent.

- At the same time, we see that the Moderates are losing support in our voter barometer.

This is probably something that the Moderates take very seriously.

This close to the election, you would rather have wind in the sail than headwind, says Torbjörn Sjöström.

Confidence increases for the L-leader

Together with the moderate leader's lost confidence, the liberal party leader's increased confidence is the only statistically significant change among the party leaders compared to May in this survey.

The fact that confidence in Johan Pehrson is increasing is at least partly due to the fact that the party leader has also become better known among voters, according to Torbjörn Sjöström.

- In order to get new voters, it is important that more voters also get to know about the new party leader.

In step with increased awareness, the proportion who have confidence in the new leader also increases, while there are also more who do not have such positive feelings, says Torbjörn Sjöström.

The survey was conducted on 16 - 21 June 2022 via web interviews in Novus' randomly recruited Sweden panel.

Of the 1,950 applicants, 1,052 answered the survey.

The participation rate was thus 57 percent.
