UN Security Council to hold meeting on food security in July

This was stated at a press conference by Brazil's Permanent Representative to the UN, Ronaldo Costa Filho, who chairs the Security Council.

“Our plan is to hold a meeting on Ukraine on the aspect of food security,” RIA Novosti quotes him.

According to him, the specific date of the meeting "will depend on the development of consultations and negotiations that are underway in Europe."

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin, in a telephone conversation with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, discussed the situation on the global food market.

Economist Mikhail Belyaev, in an interview with the Economics Today, commented on the development of the Russian agro-industrial complex.
