In the appeal, the legislator noted that, according to the law, citizens are required to pay a fee of 2,000 rubles for registering property rights to real estate.

Among them, as he clarified, are citizens of retirement age, who often perform this action as a result of entering into an inheritance after the death of a spouse.

For pensioners, this amount of the fee is significant, especially against the background of other expenses associated with the registration of the inheritance, the parliamentarian noted.

“In this regard, I ask you to evaluate the feasibility of introducing changes to tax legislation in terms of exempting citizens of retirement age from paying a fee for state registration of property rights to real estate if it was received by them as a result of inheritance,” the text of the appeal says.

Earlier, the State Duma proposed to exempt pensioners from paying a fee for obtaining a certificate of the right to inheritance, which is 0.3% of the value of the property received.
