Hanna Persson lives in Markaryd but has just completed her second year of the aesthetic program in Halmstad.

During these years, she has been referred to take a bus, which only runs directly once in the morning.

- Since there is only one bus in the morning and one in the afternoon, there will be a lot of waiting time for me.

If I start at ten, for example, I have to sit for two hours and wait.

And it's the same if I quit early, Hanna tells SVT Småland.

The fact that the trains are passing Markaryd right now is due to SJ's regional trains between Kalmar and Gothenburg being diverted via Halmstad, Markaryd and Hässleholm.

The reason is track work at Borås Central, which began on 26 May and is expected to be completed on 10 July.

Do not hop on a stationary train

According to Markarydsbor who SVT spoke to, it is not unusual for the train to stop at the station, even if it does not happen every day.

But even then, passengers are not allowed to hop on.

According to SJ, it is difficult to include Markaryd as a station in their ticket system because they do not normally sell tickets to and from the resort.

But the main reason is that they can not know in advance if it is precisely in the station area they will stay.

"Too much uncertainty"

- If we then put tickets up for sale, there would be a risk that those departures will not be missed.

There is simply too much uncertainty connected to this, says Jonas Olsson at SJ's press service to SVT.

Between Hässleholm and Halmstad, on the other hand, SJ has temporarily put tickets up for sale despite the fact that direct travel on that route is also not in the regular timetable.

Why can you not do the same when it comes to Markaryd?

- The stations that we normally operate in are also where we sell tickets, says Jonas Olsson.
