VMA - an important message to the public - is sent out in the event of, among other things, major fires that can be dangerous for people living in a certain area.

In order for as many people as possible to be reached by the information, SVT Nyheter is now introducing local VMA push notifications.

- During the pandemic, the Swedes' media habits were digitized at record speed.

Today, 7 out of 10 Swedes take part in SVT's digital services for an average week.

It is important that SVT follows the audience in the digital development and that VMA reaches the people where they are.

Both locally and digitally, says Hanna Stjärne, CEO of SVT.

VMA will also continue to remain on SVT.se and go on TV broadcasts.

Then you get SVT's local push notifications

In SVT's news app, the audience can set from which local newsrooms they want push notifications.

It is through these push notifications that SVT is now also adjusting and expanding the VMA.

This means that if you subscribe to, for example, SVT Väst's push notifications, you will also receive VMA directly on your mobile that concerns areas that are part of SVT Väst.
