Salik for vehicles registered in the GCC is only available through authorized dealers

The Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai stated that if the vehicle is registered in one of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and its owner wants to drive it in Dubai and use the Salik gates, the Salik tag must be purchased through authorized agents only, and then activate the card through the authority's smart channels, including the "Dubai Drive" application.

She pointed out that the Salik tag must be affixed to the windshield of the vehicle so that when activated, it will be linked to the prepaid Salik account.

The vehicle's card is identified using RFID technology, whereby 4 dirhams are automatically deducted from the prepaid Salik account each time the vehicle passes the toll gate.

The system includes 8 gates, including Al Barsha Gate, Jebel Ali Gate, Al Safa Gate, Al Garhoud Gate, Al Maktoum Gate, Airport Tunnel Gate, Al Mamzar Gate North, and Al Mamzar Gate South.

The tariff fee is 4 dirhams when passing each time from the aforementioned gates, while the tariff is due once for the two Al Mamzar gates in the event the vehicle passes twice in the same direction within an hour, and the Al Maktoum gate fees are free from Thursday at 10 pm until 6 am on Saturday .
