During the first half of the year, a total of 17 confirmed shootings took place in Eskilstuna.

A workload that Thomas Tellebro describes as unreasonable.

- The load is sky high.

Every morning we check to get a picture of what is prioritized.

Fewer investigators

The pressure on the investigators in Eskilstuna has not eased after the midsummer week.

That is when several investigators who were on loan from other regions disappeared.

- It is strenuous and we have not been able to breathe properly for a little too long, especially during the summer.

Tellebro mentions an example when for a while 14 detainees had been linked to an ongoing conflict, which was to be investigated by eight investigators.

- It is a difficult equation.

No to continued deposits

Thomas Tellebro applied to keep some borrowed investigators after the midsummer week, but was refused.

- It's sour but we made an attempt.

At the same time, I fully understand because we all sit in the same seat, he says.

According to Tellebro, the ongoing conflict among Eskilstuna's criminals is not over.

He believes that it is a matter of time before more shootings occur.

- The situation is not green, the feeling is that it can explode at any time.
