The interrogation of the accused 44-year-old was completed on Friday.

At the end of the interrogation, the prosecutor appealed to the man to tell the truth and asked direct questions if it was not the case that he actually abducted and killed Malin Lindström.

The man firmly denied and repeated a brief "no", to all the prosecutor's questions regarding his guilt in the crime.

Prosecutors tell the truth

The police were criticized

During the negotiations, defender Ulf Holst highlighted a number of police interrogations held with the 44-year-old over the years.

He pointed to several examples when the man was interrogated without the presence of himself, something he firmly claimed was not allowed to happen.

With this he wanted to show that the man due to the lack of confidence in the police.

Dad's touching words

Father Rune Lindström was heard in court and he described the feelings around his daughter's disappearance and death.

He described how he suspected that something was not right even when Malin did not come home in the evening.

When he then, a few months later, received the message that his daughter had been found dead, he said that it felt as if "someone had torn his heart" and that something in him disappeared when he received the death notice.
