The Paris Court of Appeal confirmed Thursday the placement in pre-trial detention, for non-compliance with his judicial control, of the rapper, indicted since June 2021 for "sexual assault" and "violence" on ex-companions, AFP learned on Friday from a judicial source.

had indicated in mid-June that the rapper had been arrested in Paris, at the Gare du Nord, on his descent from the Thalys from Germany, in execution of an arrest warrant for violation of his judicial control.
Moha La Squale, Mohamed Bellahmed of his real name, was then placed in pre-trial detention, a decision which he appealed.
At least six complaints filed
Thursday, before the investigating chamber of the Paris Court of Appeal, Moha La Squale appeared in a gray and black tracksuit, long hair loose, during a hearing which AFP attended but for which the camera was quickly pronounced.
The magistrates confirmed his placement in pre-trial detention, according to the judicial source.
"The facts are disputed and we are satisfied that a judicial investigation has been opened because Mr. Bellahmed has the firm intention of defending himself, which he has already started to do", indicated at the time of his indictment. his lawyer Me Elise Arfi.

Moha La Squale is indicted in particular on counts of violence by spouse, sexual assault by spouse, death threats by spouse and kidnapping of various victims and placed under judicial supervision.
It has been the subject of at least six complaints, most of which came to light in September 2020.
