The press service of S7 Airlines confirmed this information to the publication, specifying that they had submitted an application for the return of two Boeing 737-8 MAX to the lessor.

In mid-April, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin also signed a decree on temporary rules for fulfilling the obligations of Russian airlines and organizations to foreign companies.

It is noted that the document determines the procedure for the execution in 2022 of contracts providing for the acquisition, rental, leasing of aviation equipment.

Russian Transport Minister Vitaly Savelyev said that Western lessors have requested the return of more than 500 aircraft from Russian airlines.
