Eliminated in the quarter-finals of the last Champions League by Kiel, Luka Karabatic's teammates will have the Hungarian club Veszprem, semi-finalists of the previous edition and fourth in the Final Four, as their main opponent in this first group stage.
The Parisians will also come up against German champions Magdeburg, three-time European champions (1978, 1981 and 2002), European League finalists last season (40-39 defeat in the final against Benfica Lisbon) and who are once again C1 for the first time since 2005/06.
Nantes, second in the championship behind PSG, will have very big posters from the group stage, since the "H" will face the holder Barcelona, the Germans of Kiel, the Poles of Kielce, three of the four semi-finalists of the C1 2021/22, but also the Danes of Aalborg, where the former Parisian Mikkel Hansen will play next season.
The group stage runs from September 14 to March 2.
At the end of this phase, the first two of each group will qualify directly for the quarter-finals, then the teams classified from 3rd to 6th place will go through a barrage of access to the quarters.
The Final Four is scheduled for the weekend of June 17 and 18 in Cologne (Germany).
