On July 1, local time, US President Biden held a meeting with 10 Democratic governors to discuss how to take action to protect American women who need abortion after the Supreme Court overturned the "Roe v. Wade" case.

Biden said at the meeting that the federal government will do its best to protect women in states that ban abortion who want to seek abortion pills or who need to travel to other states to have an abortion.

Biden said he supports Congress' vote to write Roe v. Wade into law, but there aren't enough Democrats in the Senate willing to suspend the filibuster rule of filibuster to help the bill come into existence.

Biden called on all Americans to vote for pro-choice candidates in the midterm elections.
