Augustin Trapenard "wanted to stop the daily rhythm", indicated France Inter on Friday evening, confirming information from the Parisian.
"He is in discussion with France Inter to find new formats, new ways of working".
The show, broadcast from Monday to Friday at 9:00 a.m. with a different guest each day, was initially to be postponed by half an hour in the France Inter back-to-school schedule.
According to Le Parisien, it is the house journalist Rebecca Manzoni who will, at the start of the school year, take over the cultural interview slot at 9:30 a.m.
Augustin Trapenard, an English professor who became a successful literary columnist, expressed his "emotion" and "gratitude" on Twitter when he ended his show, which he presented for the last time on Friday morning.
"I loved being by your side so much, with all these artists whom I salute for having played the game, on waking up, eyes still full of sleep, strange questions, beautiful thoughts, crazy confessions", a he said.
Augustin Trapenard also hosted "21cm" and "Le Cercle" on Canal+, two programs devoted respectively to books and cinema.
He left the encrypted channel in January 2021 and then hosted "Plumard", a literary program on BrutX.
