According to the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai, 83% of international higher education institutions in the emirate came in the categories of "five stars" and "four stars", according to the results of the evaluation of international higher education institutions in Dubai in its current session of the academic year (2021- 2022).

 The results measure the quality of education and educational services provided in 17 international higher education institutions in Dubai, in which 16,508 students study during the academic year (2021-2022). The results are based on a scientific methodology developed in cooperation with local and international partners, as well as its harmonization. With the scene in the Emirate of Dubai.

Ten international higher education institutions in Dubai were rated (5 stars), four institutions received a rating of (4 stars), two institutions received a rating of (3 stars), and one institution received a rating of two stars.

The authority explained that the evaluation of international higher education institutions in Dubai aims to provide reliable information that current and new students need to make informed decisions about the university options available in Dubai, as well as its role in enhancing Dubai's position to attract higher education institutions with an international reputation, and improve the competitiveness of various International higher education institutions operating in Dubai are comparable to those in the home country.

The authority stated that the evaluation of international higher education institutions in Dubai is based on comparing university evaluations in basic categories such as teaching, research, employment and the international standing of the university, in addition to including the category of environmental sustainability, which was one of the main topics in Expo 2020 Dubai, as well as other categories with influence. The assessment of the university includes its facilities, the strength of its programs, and its efforts to improve quality of life, inclusion, innovation, and arts and culture.
