It was the big surprise of the Munich Film Festival.

Not only that the Munich production company ndf had invited to the racecourse in Riem to celebrate its 75th anniversary, including a private concert by the Fantastischen Vier.

Klaas Heuer-Umlauf took the stage before the concert to ironically guide you through the company's history in twenty minutes.

"75 years in television," he said, is as much as "150 years in normal jobs or 300 years as an administrative clerk."

He opened the conversation with ndf managing director Matthias Walther with "Do you feel the envy of your colleagues?", later remarking that it was not without reason that ZDF and ndf shared two-thirds of the label in order to rub salt in the wounds of ndf, by extracting excerpts from "A St. Bernard called Möpschen" ("It's like Haneke:

Hold on only without art") and "Mambospiel" ("Tarantino for the poor").

No matter how desperately managing director Walther could resist.

Before the Fanta 4 started and the two former nuns Jutta Speidel and Janina Hartwig blasphemed about the new profession of intimacy coach (Speidel: "There is nothing more superfluous. But it doesn't get any better on the sets anyway ").

Klaas Heuer-Umlauf gave us a little interview.

How many devils have you ridden to take on this party host job?

Absolutely none.

The contact came about through my small role in “The Swarm”.

Many will not know: This kind of occupation is a kind of second mainstay for me.

This is fun and requires thorough preparation.

Is there anything from the ndf oeuvre that you would like to see?

In fact: "The Mountain Doctor".

I used to see it with my grandma.

Hans Sigl and I know and like each other.

A lot comes together.

Hans is a great actor and a super guy.

There is also a portion of self-mockery.

That's all there.

That's why I appreciate the films.

They don't have a huge quota for nothing.

You can also feel a certain spirit on site at the Wilder Kaiser.

Apart from the “Bergdoktor” is there something that interested you in series?

Yes, stuff like "Derrick".

I used to watch this with my parents.

Whenever they said: "Now go to bed, let's watch 'Derrick'." Then I was really interested.

What does the future of television look like?

Will ZDF survive when linear television slowly becomes superfluous?

The youth only streams.

I believe that the delivery form of linear television will also change, inevitably.

At some point you will no longer know where it came from.

But the independence, stability and transparency of public television and the necessary confidence-building measures that take place all around - in this time you appreciate all the more what independent media, what makes traceability in the processes.

In this respect, I don't see the public service as threatened at all.

ZDF does that very well.

The odds speak for it.

Sounds like you're in negotiations with ZDF.

I am loyal to Pro7 and will remain so for a long time

How long is your contract?

for years.

What are you watching just before Christmas, football?

No, but only because football doesn't interest me.

This has nothing to do with a boycott against Qatar, so I don't run the risk of losing my morals.
