The report says that he is being accused in a criminal case of fraud on an especially large scale, previously initiated against ex-Deputy Minister of Education of Russia Marina Rakova, director of the Institute of Social Sciences of the RANEPA, rector of the OANO Moscow Higher School of Social and Economic Sciences Sergey Zuev and other persons.

Earlier it became known that Zuev is accused of embezzlement of over 21 million rubles.

According to investigators, in 2018, together with ex-deputy minister of education Marina Rakova and former deputy general director of the Foundation for New Forms of Education Development Yevgeny Zak, he conspired to steal money from the RANEPA. 

On June 22, the Moscow City Court ruled that Sergei Zuev, rector of the Moscow Higher School of Social and Economic Sciences (Shaninka), be kept in jail.
