On June 29, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Zhao Lijian hosted a regular press conference.
A reporter asked a question about the G7's inappropriate China-related remarks again.
In this regard, Zhao Lijian first said that after the G7 made inappropriate remarks on China last month, China has made a clear response.
However, in disregard of China's solemn position, the G7 attacked and smeared China again, inciting resistance, fully demonstrating that the G7 adhered to the Cold War mentality and pursued group interests based on the "small circle" mentality.
Zhao Lijian pointed out that Hong Kong affairs are purely Chinese affairs, and the democracy and freedom Hong Kong enjoys in accordance with the law are fully guaranteed.
And these countries have a lot of bad track record in their own human rights, and they are not qualified to act as human rights teachers, let alone interfere with the human rights of other countries.
The G7 interfered in China's internal affairs in the name of "related to Xinjiang" and "related to Tibet", which made other countries see clearly the essence of its hegemony.
The Taiwan issue is also a Chinese affair, and China has the right to take all necessary measures to safeguard the territorial integrity and national interests of the motherland.
Zhao Lijian emphasized that the G7 is not qualified to represent the world, let alone interfere in the internal affairs of other countries.
We urge the G7 to earnestly shoulder its responsibilities and obligations, stop creating divisions, stop attacking and smearing China, and stop interfering in China's internal affairs.
