The Umm Al Quwain Fishermen's Association announced the provision of six basic services to fishermen, for a nominal fee of 2.87 dirhams per day, for the owners of boats in the port of Marsa Al Maidan.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fishermen's Association, Jassim Humaid Ghanem Al Ali, told "Emirates Today" that the service fees for the 22 boat owners in the port of Marsa Al-Midan came after the association provided six services to fishermen in the port of Marsa Al-Midan, including the installation of cameras. Monitoring and providing cleaning services, providing guarding at the gates to facilitate the entry of boat owners and their equipment into the port, maintaining their properties in the port, and providing parking for cruisers and boats in the port.

He explained that the service provided includes the provision of 25 parking spaces for the cars of fishermen with boats, the implementation of berths in front of the anchorages to facilitate the process of transporting fish from the boats to the fishermen's cars, and the transfer of fishermen's equipment from cars to the boats.

He pointed out that the association is carrying out a comprehensive maintenance of the parking and services in the port at a value of 20,000 dirhams, and has also expanded the main gate of the port and installed cameras to monitor all port-goers to determine the people entering and leaving to maintain the security of the port and fishermen's property, and to improve the services of the fishermen and the development of the monitoring system, which will cost the association more From 50 thousand dirhams, in addition to developing the electricity network in the port.

He explained that letters were sent to the owners of the boats notifying them of the date of payment of the fees, and in the event that the fees are not paid, who will take the necessary legal measures against the non-compliants, adding that the service fees come two years after the owners of the boats did not pay any fees for the services they receive in the port Al-Midan Marina, explaining that the fees for owners of boats come as a matter of equality in fees for all port users.
