Representative of the UN General Assembly responded to Zelensky's call to exclude Russia from the General Assembly

Russia has veto power in the UN Security Council, so the UN Security Council cannot make such a decision.

Earlier, the First Deputy Representative of Russia to the UN, Dmitry Polyansky, said that the speech of the Ukrainian president at a meeting of the UN Security Council did not correspond to established traditions and norms.

Polyansky said that by meeting the UN Security Council, Kyiv is trying to create a favorable background for soliciting additional arms supplies from the West.
