SVT Nyheter Västernorrland has listed all eight murder cases in the county where the police are still hunting one or more perpetrators:

Haifa Jamal, 41 years old

Found on June 26, 2009 dead in his apartment in Kvissleby outside Sundsvall.

Suspected honor killing.

2. Staffan Arnström, 54 years old

Found on 27 August 2007 in his flower shop in Gullänget in Örnsköldsvik.

3. Tor Öberg, 70 years

Found together with Gerd Wiklund on June 2, 2005 at a farm in Brattås outside Härnösand.

Probably killed with an ax.

4. Gerd Wiklund, 67 years

Found together with Tor Öberg at a farm in Brattås outside Härnösand.

Probably killed with an ax.

5. David Kisswani, 60

Found on February 20, 2004 in an apartment in Skönsberg outside Sundsvall.

Killed with an ax.

One person was convicted in the district court but acquitted by the court of appeal.

6. Carl-Olof Nordh, 55 years

Härnösandsbon was found on 12 October 1992 on a gravel road near Hässjö outside Timrå.

Killed with a knife.

7. Eva Söderström, 27 years old

Found September 26, 1987 in a forest grove near Kramfors.

Killed with a knife.

8. Malin Lindström, 16 years old

Disappeared after a bus trip in November 1996 and was found murdered on May 22, 1997 near Husum outside Örnsköldsvik.

Killed with a knife after being raped.

New DNA evidence has now led to a new trial against a man who was previously suspected of the murder.

In addition to these, the murder in Korsta in July 2021 and the murder in Nacksta in May 2022 in Sundsvall are still open murder investigations.

They are being investigated by the investigation section for serious crimes in Västernorrland.
