Of course, it will not reassure the esteemed colleague from the editorial office.

Since the first sound of the new anthem of modern Frankfurt, he has been outraged by the phrase "We are all Frankfurters" - because it should have been "We are all Frankfurters".

But Hassan Annouri knows about his right to poetic freedom and, above all, “that people understand my message” when he continues to write in the refrain: “because we love our city so much/ it gives us courage, strength and love/ it gives us everything we need and more".

Moreover, he does not claim his masterpiece as his own.

"I'm just a conductor, the song belongs to all of us."

For several months, the Frankfurt musician has been rushing from gig to gig.

"And everywhere he hits the nerve of the audience," says Kai Mann.

That's why the event manager has now hired Annouri as an ambassador for the first Oktoberfest after a two-year Corona break.

Appropriately with leather pants and jacket

"We are all Frankfurters" is supposed to start on September 7th, immediately after the innkeepers march in and the draft beer is tapped - without Lord Mayor Peter Feldmann, but, according to Mann, with "probably even more prominent politicians" - to make the festival tent tremble for the first time , especially since in the evenings next to the Waldstadion "everyone feels like a Frankfurter, even if he or she comes from Offenbach".

For the appearance in ten weeks, Annouri dressed up in the costume shop Deiters on Wednesday with leather pants and a jacket.

"Of course, one or the other will smile when they see me like this," says Annouri.

"But that's already high level in this costume." Meanwhile, Annouri is so "high level" that he can hardly save himself from inquiries.

"Even the FH president called me and wants me to sing when he says goodbye," he says.

And if Frank Dievernich, who is leaving the Frankfurt School of Applied Sciences in two weeks, is able to overlook the linguistic clumsiness between "everything" and "everyone", then perhaps his esteemed editorial colleague will also be able to do so.
