Students who go to Ronnaskolan and who say they are fighting for their grades believe that the study results may be due to various things, such as some confusion, language difficulties, the teachers' skills and that some students do not care enough about their school results.

At the same time, they say that they enjoy school.

- It is seldom messy when it is a good teacher, says Mustafa Alkhayat, one of the students SVT has spoken to.

Elof Hansjons (S), responsible municipal councilor, is clear that in most of Södertälje's primary schools the graduation grades are at a good level and on the increase in Hovsjöskolan.

However, he admits that they need to do more to increase study results in Ronnaskolan.

Closing the school is not an option

Is there no need to do something more radical when so many young people leave Ronnaskolan without upper secondary school qualifications year after year?

- It is not the solution to move students from one school to another.

Changing schools is not good for students either.

Without it, long-term, systematic work is required to increase study results, something we do, says Elof Hansjons (S).
