“New methods of protecting banknotes, new techniques are being introduced into circulation.

Gradually, the "body" of banknotes is updated.

This is to make money more secure from counterfeiting.

Although low-denomination banknotes are rarely counterfeited, nevertheless, if it turns out that they are easy to counterfeit, then they will also be counterfeited,” Belyaev added.

Earlier, the Bank of Russia introduced a new 100-ruble banknote into circulation.

It is noted that the new banknote contains a reinforced security complex, similar to the 200-ruble note.
