Very noticed in the United States for his role in "Titanium", Palme d'Or at Cannes in 2021, and for having chaired the last edition of the Cannes festival, Vincent Lindon is one of the 397 guests this year.

The actress and director Aïssa Maïga also caught the attention of the Academy of the Oscars, in particular thanks to her documentary "Walking on water", presented in many festivals in the United States.

The 47-year-old artist rejoiced on her Instagram account about this "huge honor to become one of the members" of the Academy.

Long accused of being too masculine and too white, the Academy of the Oscars has multiplied its efforts in recent years to broaden its recruitment and better reflect the diversity of American society and the world of cinema.

"Recruitment is based on professional qualifications with an ongoing commitment to the representation" of women and ethnic or cultural minorities, the Academy said in a statement.

Half of the new recruits are from outside the United States, representing a total of 53 countries and territories.
