Prior to the trial, the man underwent a medical examination to assess his mental health, a so-called section 7 examination.

In the conversation with the doctor, the man states that he has not - as previously stated - suffered from memory loss but that he has been threatened by some criminal friends who demanded that he not mention their names.

He has a clear picture that on the current day he walked to the E4 in Husum and was picked up by the three comrades.

His explanation for the sperm stain found on Malin's trousers is that he and his comrades repeatedly masturbated in the forest in the area.

"Severely beaten"

The man says that after the first arrest in 1997, he was severely beaten by the three comrades and that they have kept in touch with him afterwards, even though it has become less in recent years.

He still does not want to name the comrades because he would take big risks if he did, according to the conversation with the doctor.

According to the doctor who performed the examination, the suspected killer does not suffer from any serious mental disorder, which means that there is no basis for forensic psychiatric care.

SVT is looking for the man's lawyer for a comment.
