Khalitsky clarified that the amount of financial assistance that needs to be provided to Ukrainian refugees "far exceeds what Poland, hosting them, can afford."

And based on the fact that the economic situation in Poland is deteriorating, it is becoming increasingly difficult for Warsaw to provide assistance to the Ukrainians, the MEP added.

However, he noted that some refugees manage to find work, but the payment they offer "rarely even covers the cost of renting a house, not to mention other necessary expenses."

In this regard, Khalitsky turned to the European Commission with a question whether refugees from Ukraine would be able to receive financial support directly from the European Union.

“Does the European Commission plan to launch programs to provide both short-term and long-term support to Ukrainian refugees?”

the politician also asked.

Earlier it was reported that from July 1, most Ukrainian refugees in Poland will lose their daily allowances.

Thus, the Polish authorities encourage migrants to look for work.
