The Mohammed bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences celebrated the graduation of the "Khalifa batch", in a grand ceremony held at the "Dubai Opera", under the patronage and presence of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Mohammed bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dubai Academic Health Corporation. And the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dubai Academic Health Corporation, and the first batch of graduates from the College of Medicine, the College of Nursing and Midwifery, and the Fellowship Program in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, in addition to a new batch of graduates of graduate programs at the College Hamdan Bin Mohammed Dental Clinic.

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum congratulated the "Khalifa batch", expressing his pride and pride in their achievements, stressing that the association of this batch with the name of the nation's deceased, the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, may God have mercy on him, is an incentive for graduates to draw lessons and lessons from his immortal biography. .

His Highness stressed that what the university has achieved since its establishment until today translates the approach of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, regarding the importance of investing in education and health, adding that the health sector in Dubai is witnessing a qualitative leap, represented in Linking medical education, health care and scientific research through the Dubai Health Academic Foundation, which will provide graduates with a supportive environment for the advancement of health outcomes for individuals and society.

For his part, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum stressed the importance of the role played by the "Mohammed bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences" in preparing qualified cadres according to the highest standards to raise the health system's readiness and keep pace with future challenges.

His Highness expressed his confidence that graduates today will contribute to strengthening the health sector in line with the aspirations of the leadership, in light of the challenges that the world has experienced in recent years, which have proven the importance of this sector, while His Highness called on graduates to continue their educational path, wishing them further excellence. and excellence.

In addition, Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director General of Expo 2020 Dubai, affirmed that this graduation is a continuation of an authentic era. Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, and the leaders of the Emirates carried it after him.

Dr. Raja Easa Al Gurg, member of the Board of Directors of the Dubai Academic Health Corporation, gave the opening speech on behalf of the President of the University, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, in which she called on the graduates to employ their expertise and knowledge in promoting health care, medical education and scientific research to advance human health.

For his part, the President of the University and Executive Director of the Dubai Academic Health Corporation, Dr. Amer Ahmed Sharif, in his speech thanked the leadership that is credited with establishing the university and its development, through the great trust and exceptional support of science and scholars.

He praised the tireless efforts of the students and staff, the university’s academic partner, Queen’s University Belfast, and all partners, supporters and donors, who trusted the university’s vision and contributed to achieving common goals that resulted in the graduation of a distinguished group of leaders in the future of healthcare.

The Khalifa batch includes 108 graduates, including 40 male and female doctors from the first batch of the Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery program at the College of Medicine, and 54 from the Hamdan Bin Mohammed College of Dentistry in various postgraduate programs, in addition to the first batch of the Master’s program in Biomedical Sciences, and from two programs Science in Cardiovascular and Pediatric Nursing from the University's College of Nursing and Midwifery.

The ceremony included the graduation of the first batch of physicians from the Fellowship Program in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, which is offered by Al Jalila Children’s Specialist Hospital, in academic partnership with Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, which is accredited by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.

The ceremony also witnessed the graduation of the first batch of dentists on scholarships from the sisterly State of Kuwait, through a cooperation agreement between the university and the Kuwait Institute for Medical Specialties.
