“It was preliminarily established that on June 29, in the evening, a Mi-8 helicopter took off from the Ust-Maisky region to the Aldan region of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and made a hard landing in a forest belt near the village of Chagry,” the ministry said in a statement.
There were three crew members on board.
“On this fact ... a criminal case was initiated under Part 1 of Art.
263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Violation of the rules for the safety of traffic and operation of railway, air, sea and inland water transport and the subway”),” the UK added.
Earlier it became known that the An-26 aircraft was sent to help the Mi-8 in the Aldan region of Yakutia.
