Immigrant truck deaths in Texas rise to 51

The Mexican consul in the US state of Texas announced that the number of immigrants who died of suffocation in a truck trailer in Texas has reached 51, and that 13 people are in serious condition in hospital.

Consul Robin Minotti indicated that 13 people were transferred to hospitals and that their condition is critical, adding that they suffer from failure of the nervous system, kidneys, liver and internal bleeding.

Yesterday, the truck carrying people was found on a small road in Texas that leads to the highway.

The authorities in Texas had reported, earlier, the death of about 50, in a truck without water or air conditioning.
