Defense of Russian Vinnik will appeal against his extradition to Greece on June 30

“The Court of Cassation of France issued a decision rejecting the petition filed by the Russian Alexander Vinnik in relation to the decision of the Paris court, which sentenced him to five years in prison.

Already on Thursday, Vinnik can be transferred to Greece.

This means that he can subsequently be extradited to the United States, since Greece has already agreed to the corresponding American request, ”the lawyer comments on the consequences of the extradition decision.

They are trying to reverse the course of the case with the help of an appeal filed with the chairman of the executive chamber.

Belo believes that she will suspend the execution of the court's decision. 

Earlier, the French Constitutional Council rejected a request for violations of the rights of the arrested Russian Alexander Vinnik in connection with the extradition decision.

In June, the Paris Court of Appeal confirmed the sentence of Alexander Vinnik, who had previously been sentenced to five years in prison on charges of money laundering.
